Heard Sri M.P. Singh for the petitioner, Standing Counsel for State and Sri Manoj Nigam for respondent-bank.
The writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing the respondent -bank to dispose of the representation of the petitioner for benefit of Debt Waiver Scheme 2008.
It has been stated that the petitioner took loan of Rs. 60,000/-, for the purposes of dairy which was disbursed to him in two installments. Under the Debt Waiver Scheme, 2008, the petitioner is entitled for waiver of loan amount of Rs. 50,000/- but it was not waived. The petitioner has moved a representation in this respect, which is pending.
The writ petition is disposed of with direction to the Branch Manager, UP Sahkari Gram Vikas Bank, respondent-4 to pass an appropriate order on the representation of the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before the Branch concerned.
Till disposal of the representation, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner.
