Heard counsel for the petitioner.
The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the Sub-Divisional Officer, Nageena, District Bijnor/Prescribed Authority to decide Election Petition No. 2016131604345 of 2016 instituted by the petitioner against respondent no. 5 under Section 12-C of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947.
Considering the fact that the case is pending since 2016, the respondent no. 2 i.e. the Sub-Divisional Officer, Nageena, District Bijnor/Prescribed Authority is directed to decide the above-mentioned Election Petition No. 2016131604345 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
