The petitioner approached this Court on account of refusal to accept the basic tax in respect of her property situated in Survey No.822/1/398 at Ayiranelloor Village of Pathanapuram Taluk in Kollam District. It seems that there has been an attachment order by the Civil Court and the attachment is still pending. The attachment made by the Court does not foreclose the right of the owner of the property to pay the basic tax. Attachment is only in the nature of prohibition from alienating or transferring the property. 2. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the 4th respondent-Village Officer to accept the basic tax in respect the petitioner's property situated in Survey No.822/1/398 forthwith.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
