JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner is the step mother of the victim boy aged 10 years, who is the accused in C.P. No.19/2013 of Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Kochi. Offences alleged against her are under section 324 of IPC and section 23 of Juvenile Justice Act.
2. The 1st respondent (father of the victim boy) is represented by his counsel. Learned counsel appearing for both sides submit that as the boy was beaten as he passed Urine on the bed, the boy did not return from school. He was about to board an autorikshaw, when the Police took the boy. When the boy was questioned, he gave the said statement. The learned counsel submits that the boy is being taken care of by the petitioner herself, who is his step mother. Father is also taking care of the boy. In the

interest of the boy, this case may be quashed, it is submitted.
3. Taking note of the above factors and in the interest of the boy, further proceedings in C.P. No.19/2013 of Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Kochi, shall stand quashed.
