Petitioner claims to be possession and enjoyment of 3.24 ares and 2.2 ares respectively of land in survey No.788, Nadama Village, Kanayannur Taluk, Ernakulam District by virtue of Partition Deed No.3263/2010 of S.R.O. Tripunithura. The petitioner submits by virtue of G.O.(MS) No.13/2007RD/ dated 11.1.2007, the Additional Tahsildar of the concerned Taluk was given the power of Inam Settlement Officer. The petitioner’s property was stated as Tripunithura Devaswom in all title documents. Therefore the petitioner approached the respondents by Ext.P5 application for assignment of service Inam Land. That has not been considered. Accordingly the petitioner has approached this Court. 2. Petitioner submits that there is no time limit prescribed for receiving the settlement of Inam Land applications. However, as seen from Ext.P4, the Government has taken a decision not to extent further time to receive application for settlement of Inam. Tahsildar W.P.(C).No.19864 of 2014

is bound by it. Petitioner’s stand that time stipulated for receiving Inam Land Application is not correct in view of Ext.P4

Learned Government Pleader on instructions would submit that Government has proposed to take a policty decision to extent time limit for receiving application and it will be notified in the Gazatte soon. The decision is to extent the time limit for receiving inam settlement applications is up to 31.12.2014.
Considering the above, I am of the view that petitioner’s application shall be considered based on the Government decision to extent time limit for receiving Ext.P5 Inam settlement application in accordance with law.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
