By order dated 22.5.2017 in Writ-C No.30115 of 2009, filed by the mother of the applicant, she was granted liberty to approach the State Government within four weeks from the date of order by means of an application alongwith certified copy of the order of the writ court and in which event the State Government was directed to examine the grievance within next eight weeks.
It appears that the petitioner sent a representation to opposite party by registered post on 29.6.2017 but which was after expiry of four weeks from the date of order of the writ court. The grievance urged is that the said application/representation has not been considered by the opposite party so far.
Having regard to the fact that the application/representation was not filed by the applicant strictly within the time frame prescribed, therefore this Court is not inclined to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite party at this stage. However, in case appropriate decision on the representation of the applicant is not taken by the opposite party within next four weeks of receipt of a certified copy of this order, it shall be open to the applicant to approach this Court by way of fresh application.
The contempt application stands disposed of accordingly.
