Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioner claims to be a landless agricultural labour, is aggrieved with the allotment of land to Respondent no.4 lying unutilised and 14 kms away from Ganna Kisan Degree College, patta be cancelled and it be allotted to persons belonging to preferential category, in respect of which the petitioner alongwith others submitted a representation before the Collector, Shahjahanpur on 7.11.2017 and by speed post on 17.1.2018 but till date same has not been disposed of.
Learned Standing Counsel states that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending, same be disposed off by giving appropriate direction to the respondent concerned.
This writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the Collector, Shahjahanpur to dispose of the pending representation dated 7.11.2017/17.1.2018 as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.
It is made clear that this court has not commented on the merits of the claim of the petitioner.
