Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; the learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents 1 to 4; Sri Sunil Kumar Singh for the respondent no.5; and perused the record.
The prayer in this petition is to command the respondents to stop construction of Panchayat Bhawan and to ensure that it is constructed on the land earlier reserved for it.
The case of the petitioner is that in the last consolidation proceeding plot no. 47 was reserved for Panchayat Bhawan but the respondents are seeking to construct Panchayat Bhawan at another plot.
Such a grievance can appropriately be addressed by the District Magistrate concerned (respondent no.4).
In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner, the petition is disposed off by giving liberty to the petitioner to represent his cause before the respondent no.4. If any such representation is filed within two weeks from today, the same shall be addressed and decided expeditiously, preferably, within next two weeks after calling for reports from the officer concerned.
