By means of this writ petition, the petitioners seek a writ of certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 10.05.2019 passed by the respondent no.2 and further to decide the representation of the petitioners dated 21.05.2019, within a stipulated period of time.
At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners has not pressed the prayer so far as it relates to quashing of the impugned order dated 10.05.2019. The only submission made by the petitioners' counsel is to decide the representation dated 21.05.2019 pending before the respondent no.2.
Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.2 has no objection in deciding the said representation by the competent authority.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by either of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.2 to consider and decide the representation of the petitioners dated 21.05.2019, after affording adequate opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, by a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
