JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the offences punishable under Sections 417, 376 and 506(i) of IPC and Section 3(i)(x) of the SC/ST Act, 1989 in Crime No.48 of 2016 on the file of the respondent Police, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu (Special Judge for SC & ST Act), to consider her bail application on the same day on merits.
2. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondent.
3. Heard both sides.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu (Special Judge for SC & ST Act), is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider her bail application on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and to pass suitable orders, in the event of the petitioner surrendering before the said court within 15 days from today and filing of petition seeking bail.
5. This petition is ordered accordingly.
