Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned Standing Counsel for opposite party.
The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite parties for willful disobedience of the order dated 10.09.2020 passed in Writ Petition No.9542 of 2020 (Lakhpati Devi Vs. State of U.P. and others).
Today when the matter is taken up, learned Standing Counsel for opposite party filed affidavit of compliance before this Court, the same is taken on record. It is stated in paragraph 7 of the affidavit that in compliance of the order of Writ Court, a decision has been taken by the opposite party on 12.10.2021, copy of the same is appended as Annexure Nos.1 & 2 to the affidavit. It is argued that the order of the Writ Court has been fully complied with in its letter and spirit and no further cause of action would remain survived and prays for dismissal of the present contempt application.
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
In this view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that since the order of the writ court has already been complied with, therefore, no further order is required to be passed in the matter.
Accordingly, the present contempt application is dismissed.
