Case of the petitioners is that the State Government has acquired certain parcel of land, i.e. plot nos. 768 and 769 area 8 bigha for the development of NOIDA but only 1.5 bigha land out of 8 bigha land of Plot nos. 768 and 769 was used in development of NOIDA and only 20% of the compensation amount was paid to the petitioners. It appears that on 3.9.2010 the State Government issued an order for reverting the surplus land of the farmers which was not utilised for development of NOIDA. On 16.3.2020 the respondent no.2 issued a public advertisement inviting applications from such farmers whose land was acquired but not utilised for development. The petitioners filed an undated application for deregularisation (Viniyamitikaran) for the land in question (Annexure 8) which is still pending.
No useful purpose will be served in keeping the writ petition pending in view of the order proposed to be passed hereunder.
The writ petition is disposed of with the direction that in the event the petitioners file their representation afresh along with a copy of this order in respect of their grievances, the competent authority shall proceed to dispose of the same in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months.
