The grievance of the petitioner is that while the record operation was going on under section 43 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 and the records were still, therefore, unsettled, the land which were, before the record operation commenced, given out on leases could not be settled upon the lessees.
In this regard, the petitioner has moved an application before the Collector, Gautam Budh Nagar which is pending consideration.
Under such circumstances, it will meet the interest of justice if the application filed by the petitioner be decided. The Collector, Gautam Budh Nagar is, therefore, directed to decide the application filed by the petitioner on 22.12.2018 within a period of two weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.
Till such time, the application is decided or for a period of two weeks, whichever is earlier, status-quo as of today, shall be maintained.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
