Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus of any other writ of direction to direct the respondents to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter Nandhini D/o Krishnamurthy, aged 23 years, before this Court and set her at liberty forthwith.

NAGAMUTHU,J.,) The petitioner is the father of one Nandhini, aged 23 years. According to the petitioner, she has been found missing from 05.03.2017 onwards. In this regard, on a complaint made by the petitioner, a case in Cr.No.516/2017 was registered for “ Woman Missing”, but the detenue has not been secured. This is the grievance of the petitioner.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that investigation revealed that the detenue eloped with the third respondent and she is hiding somewhere.
3. The above statement is recorded. In such view of the matter, we find there is no illegal detention. Hence we are unable to grant any relief to the petitioner. The Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed. However, the respondents are directed to expedite the investigation.
