JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Court, while disposing of the writ petition on 10.09.2015, has directed the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a further period of eight weeks weeks and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
2. The petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order has filed this contempt petition.
3. Mr.I.Arokiasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents/contemners has produced G.O.(D).No.361 Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (E1) Department dated 16.08.2016 and would submit that the request made by the petitioner has been considered and rejected.
4. In response to such submission, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the said order is not in compliance of the order passed by this Court and would add that the petitioner is contemplated to file a writ petition challenging the legality of the said Government Order. In the considered opinion of the Court, in the light of passing of the above cited Government Order, nothing survives for adjudication in this contempt petition. Therefore, the contempt petition is closed. Further, the petitioner, if so advised, is at liberty to challenge the above said Government Order in accordance with law before the competent forum.
