The petitioners are owners cum drivers of Autorickshaws. They have been granted contract carriage permits to operate their vehicles. The petitioners have submitted Ext.P8 application seeking variation of their permits. They complain that no orders have been passed thereon till date. The petitioners seek the issue of appropriate directions for the consideration of Ext.P8.
2. The learned Government Pleader appears for the respondents.
3. In view of the limited relief sought, I am satisfied that this writ petition can be disposed of directing Ext.P8 to be considered. This writ petition is therefore disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider Ext.P8 application submitted by the petitioners in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months of the date of production of a copy of this judgment by the petitioners, after hearing them.
