The petitioners, residents of the 2nd respondent Panchayat, are owners of small extents of property. They were issued with a notice by the 3rd respondent stating that, they were in illegal possession of Government land and directing them to vacate the same. The petitioners submitted detailed replies. Without taking any action on their objections, they complain that action is being initiated to demolish the construction put up by them in the property. They allege that the 3rd respondent is proceeding to take possession of the property, by force. They have submitted Exts.P8, P9 and P10 representations to the 1st respondent. There is no action on the said representations also. They seek the issue of appropriate directions for the consideration of their representations, before they are dispossessed. The learned Government Pleader appears for the 1st respondent.

Since the representations submitted by the petitioners are pending consideration of the 1st respondent, it shall be sufficient that this writ petition is disposed of directing the representations to be considered. In the nature of the reliefs that I propose to grant, I do not consider it necessary to issue notice to the other respondents in this case.
W.P.(C) No.33974 of 2014 2 This writ petition is, therefore, disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider Exts.P8 to P10 representations as well as the representation of the 4th respondent, acknowledged receipt of by Ext.P11, in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders thereon, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioners as well as respondents 2 and 3, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Until final orders are passed on the representations in accordance with the above directions, the petitioners shall not be dispossessed of the properties occupied by them.
