Case called out in the revised list. None has appeared for the petitioner to press this writ petition, which has been filed seeking the following relief -
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no.2, Ziladhikari Kannauj to decide the application dated 16.05.2017 moved by the petitioner within a very early date preferably within one month."
Perusal of the application dated 16.05.2017 reveals that it is addressed to the District Magistrate, Kannauj.
In this application, it has been averred that the petitioner has been forcibly dispossessed by certain persons. A prayer has also been made that his possession be restored.
This Court does not consider it expedient to issue the directions prayed for.
In case, the petitioner is an allottee and has been forcibly dispossessed from the land subject matter of the allotment in his favour, his remedy lies by means of an application under Section 129 of the U.P. Revenue Code,2006, before the Additional Collector.
The petitioner is therefore, directed to approach Additional Collector by means of an appropriate application in accordance with Section 129 U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 for redressal of his grievance.
It is further provided that in case, such an application is filed within a period of three weeks from today, it is expected that the Additional Collector shall deal with the same as expeditiously as possible.
