The sole prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to decide Matrimonial Divorce Case No. 771 of 2018, under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, pending at the behest of the petitioner within a specified time frame.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the notice has been served by publication in the news paper.
Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent.
In view of the aforesaid provisions under the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
The petition is accordingly disposed of.
