The grievance espoused by the petitioner, a practicing Advocate at Amalapuram in East Godavari District, is with regard to the lack of sufficient staff in the Court of the II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Amalapuram, East Godavari District. He states that the inaction on the part of the authorities in filling up these vacancies runs contra to the Circular issued by the High Court. Hence, he seeks a consequential direction to the authorities to allot sufficient staff to the said Court.
Sri Bathula Raj Kiran, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos. 1, 3 and 4, states on instructions that necessary steps have already been initiated for filling up the vacancies in various posts in East Godavari District. The details are furnished of steps taken for filling up 42 vacancies in the posts of Junior Assistants, 14 vacancies in the posts of Typists and 7 vacancies in the posts of Copyists in East Godavari District.
In the light of the steps initiated for filling up the vacancies in the manner aforestated, the learned Standing Counsel assures this Court that sufficient staff will be allotted to the Court of the II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Amalapuram, East Godavri District.
In the light of this assurance, the writ petition is closed.
Pending miscellaneous applications shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
