JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner is aggrieved by the non-consideration of the renewal application and application for variation. The renewal application, admittedly was for renewal of a permit in which the petitioner was operating a stage carriage as fast passenger Service. By introduction of a notification dated 16.07.2013, the Fast Passenger Services were confined to KSRTC Buses. However, noticing the difficulties of the public and the difficulty of the KSRTC to replace the the fast passenger services, carried on by the private operators, the Government had taken a decision to grant Temporary permit in such routes. However, the petitioner has thought it fit to file an application for curtailment of the route so as to bring it within the ambit of the description of a Limited Stop Ordinary services. The curtailment application is seen at Ext.P3. Hence the petitioner submits that the petitioner at present, is not insisting for renewal of the Fast passenger services, but WPC.No.33222/2014 : 2 : however, would rather have considered the renewal changing the categorisation to Limited Stop Ordinary Services. The learned Government Pleader on instruction submits that the applications are posted for consideration on 24.12.2014 before the RTA. In such circumstance, the RTA shall consider the same and issue orders, at any rate within two months from today.
Writ petition is disposed of.
