JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider and pass orders on his Environment Clearance Application dated 01.10.2015 pertaining to his lease granted Patta land quarry measuring 1.38.5 Hec., comprised in S.F.Nos.169/9 (Old Survey No.66/8), 169/10 (Old Survey No.66/9), 169/12 (Old Survey No.66/10), 172/1(P) (Old Survey Nos.67/1, 69/1) situated in Karsanur Village, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District.
3. Mr.K.Ramakrishna Reddy learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his application as early as on 01.10.2015, the same has not yet been disposed of by the 3rd respondent.
4.Mr.R.Rajeswaran learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to consider the application and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 01.10.2015 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
