1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. Learned Standing Counsel prays for further time to obtain instruction. Time had earlier been granted to learned Standing Counsel on 04.12.2018 to obtain instruction, however, no instruction has been received.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that there is no justifiable reason for the delay being caused, inasmuch as the petitioner society had applied for renewal of the registration on which the Assistant Registrar, Firms Societies & Chits, Azamgarh Division, Azamgarh (respondent no. 1) had also called for a file from the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mohammdabad-Gohna, Tehsil Mohammdabad-Gohna, District Mau (respondent no. 2). Copy of that communication dated 14.08.2018 has also been annexed with the writ petition.
4. In view of such facts, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the present petition pending or calling for counter affidavit. The present petition is disposed of with the direction that in view of the communication dated 14.08.2018 having been issued by the respondent no. 1, it is expected that the said authority may conclude the proceedings for renewal of the registration, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. It is further clarified that while concluding such proceedings, the said authority may act strictly in accordance with law and pass such orders as the merits of the case may deserve, without being influenced by the observations made in this order.
