JUDGMENT / ORDER

Learned counsel for the petitioner is absent. It is represented by the learned Government Advocate submitted that the order which is the subject matter of contempt, has been complied with by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai-4, the 3rd respondent in the writ petition, rejecting the mercy petition submitted by the petitioner vide proceedings in C.No.175331/AP.2(2)/2015 dated 01.08.2016. The said communication of the 3rd respondent in the writ petition has been M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J., rka/sk communicated by the respondent / contemnor to the Government Pleader's Office, vide proceedings in RC.No.H3/Mercy No.03/2016 dated 10.03.2017. He has also produced a copy of the said communication before this Court and the same is taken on file and recorded. 2 In the light of the same, the contempt petition is closed. The petitioner if so advised and if it is open to him under law, is at liberty to challenge the said communication in accordance with law before the competent Forum.
