The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the third respondent to consider the name of the petitioner or promotion to the post of Junior Assistant in the Registration Department as per G.O.Ms.No.152, Co-optex, Handicrafts, Handloom and Khadi (F-1) Department dated 12.07.2012.
2.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner was appointed in Tamilnadu Khadi and Village Industries Board as Khadi Assistant Grade -II. The services of the petitioner was regularized on 24.07.1995. The Government issued G.O.Ms.No.154 dated 21.11.2009, declaring 378 employees in Tamil Nadu Khadi and Village Industries Board as surplus and thereafter all those employees were deputed. Accordingly, the writ petitioner was deputed to the Registration Department and he joined as Record Clerk on 22.02.2011. In the post of Record Clerk also, the services of the writ petitioner was regularized with effect from 22.02.2011. The grievances of the writ petitioner is that, his promotion to the post of Junior Assistant has not been considered inspite of the fact that he is fully qualified and his name was proposed. The promotions are to be given in accordance with the rules in force. Thus, this Court is not inclined to consider the merits at this point of time. Accordingly, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 20.11.2012, submitted by the writ petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the representation along with the order passed in this Writ Petition.
3.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, no order as to costs.
