Krupasagar Reddy and others … Petitioners And The State of Andhra Pradesh, Agriculture & Cooperation (Mktg-I) Department Rep. by its Principal Secretary Secretariat Hyderabad and another … Respondents THE HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NOs.29406, 31848, 32245, 33551, 35363, 37993, 38380 AND 38581 OF 2014 COMMON ORDER: (per the Hon’ble The Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) The learned Advocate General for the State of Andhra Pradesh placed a latest amendment made, vide Act No.10 of 2014, to the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act, 1966. When the writ petitions were filed Section 38 was inserted to the Principal Act. However, during the pendency of this matter, Section 38 has been omitted. Therefore, the cause for filing of the writ petitions does not subsisting now. A copy of the Gazette Notification regarding the aforesaid amendment is kept on record.
Accordingly, we close the writ petitions with the above observations.
Learned counsel for the petitioners says that his clients may have to take further action in the light of this amendment. It would be open for the petitioners to do so, if so advised, in accordance with law.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed.
There will be no order as to costs.
