JUDGMENT / ORDER

1. Petitioner, admittedly, appeared in the 2nd semester supplementary examination and now he is aggrieved with the non-publication of the results of the supplementary examination in which he appeared. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner having secured a job; petitioner's case may be treated as an exceptional case and mark-list may be directed to be issued.
2. Learned counsel for the respondent University submits, on instructions, that there are around 80,000 papers and the supplementary examinations in which the petitioner had appeared was, in fact, a regular examination of the candidate's regularly studying for the 2nd semester.
3. The University cannot be directed to take out a particular answer paper and value it, when there is, admittedly, a centralised system of valuation. The petitioner any way is disclosed to be a student who W.P.(C)No.25735 of 2014 -:2:-
completed his graduate course in March 2013 and failed to qualify for reason of not qualifying a paper in the 2nd semester. Definitely the examination, the results of which are sought to be expedited, is not the petitioner's first chance. He also would have had other chances in the supplementary examinations held, of the 2nd semester. No equity could be extended, on the facts revealed.
4. The University would undertake that the result would be published, at any rate, before the last of December, 2014 and as soon as the tabulation of marks are done, if the petitioner makes an application as provided in the Regulation for issuance of confidential mark list, the same shall be allowed by the University.
Writ petition is dismissed recording the undertaking of the University.
