1. Notice was issued to petitioners to engage another counsel vide Court's order dated 24.5.2018. Service is deemed sufficient vide order dated 25.7.2018.
2. Called in revise. None appeared to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondents. In the circumstances, I myself have perused the record.
3. By means of present writ petition, petitioners has sought following reliefs:
"(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari and to quash the circular dated 4.2.2003 issued by the Registrar, Co- operative Societies, U.P. Lucknow to the extent it denies enhancement in D.A. of the petitioners (Annexure-1 to the writ petition).
(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents not to reduce the salary of the petitioners and direct them to pay the salary to the petitioners as they have been paid and drawing for the month of February, 2003."
4. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
5. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
6. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
