1. The present writ petition has been filed against the notice- cum-order dated 08.10.2018 passed by the District Magistrate, Fatehpur under Section 17(3) of Arms Act, 1959 proposing to cancel the fire arm license of the petitioner. Inasmuch as at present, only show cause notice had been issued to the petitioner, the writ petition is not being entertained.
2. In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed on the ground of alternative remedy. However, in the event, the petitioner files written reply to the aforesaid notice within a period of three weeks from today along with a certified copy of this order before the District Magistrate, Fatehpur, it is expected, the said authority shall conclude the objections, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order along with a copy of his reply/objections.
