Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.
It is the case of the petitioner that he had participated for the post of Police Constable and Constable PAC (Male) Direct Recruitment-2015 as advertised by Advertisement dated 29.12.2015.
It is the case of the petitioner that by means of the Notification dated 07.09.2018, the cut-off merit of the general candidate has again reduced to 399.33. The petitioner has higher marks to the last cut-off merit in General Category. Since the petitioner has alleged secured 403.76 marks, he ought to have been treated as selected.
In view of the aforesaid facts, the petitioner is directed to make a detailed representation along with a certified copy of this order to the respondent no. 2 (The Chairman/Additional Secretary, U.P. Police Recruitment & Promotion Board, Tulsi Ganga Complex, U.P., Luknow), within two weeks from today who shall consider the case of the petitioner as an un-reserved candidate and pass appropriate orders looking into marks secured by him, within a period of four weeks from the date such representation is filed.
