K.Ravikumar vs The Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies ...

Madras High Court|05 October, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to call for the records relating to the Minutes of the 451st Board Meeting held on 29.11.2013 in Item No.131, quash the same in so far as Agenda No.1 is concerned and consequently, direct the respondents to implement the Resolution dated 11.6.2010 of the second respondent.
2. The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the writ petitioners, made a submission that even at the time of passing interim order in MP Nos.1 and 2 of 2014 on 14.11.2014, this Court has recorded the fact that the learned Additional Advocate General, appearing on behalf of the respondents, made a submission that the writ petitioners are not seasonal employees, except the second writ petitioner, who relinquished his permanent appointment and therefore the very writ petition, as filed, is not maintainable.
3. However, the learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the writ petitioners, has not disputed the said contention even today. Thus, this Court is of the view that the writ petitioners are no more continuing as seasonal employees and therefore, in respect of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, no further adjudication is required on merits.
4. In this view of the matter, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
