JUDGMENT / ORDER

Though the writ petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuing a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to consider the petitioner's application, dated 24.11.2011 and further representations, in accordance with the law, within the period stipulated by this Court.
2.Considering the request of the counsel for the petitioner and the nature of grievance, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:
?The respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for compassionate appointment, dated 24.11.2011, purely on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.?
3. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
