ORDER:
This contempt case is filed alleging wilful disobedience of order, dated 09.07.2013, in W.P.No.11153 of 2013, whereby this Court has directed respondent Nos.1 and 2 to consider the resolution of Choppakatlapalem Gram Panchayat for construction of a drainage and sanction necessary funds for such construction within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order; and within two months thereafter, respondent No.3 was directed to ensure that the Gram Panchayat constructs the drainage.
Separate counter affidavits have been filed by respondent Nos.2 and 5.
In her counter affidavit, respondent No.2 has stated that in pursuance of the order of this Court, proceedings bearing No.P1/Works/2014, dated 06.08.2014, were issued according administrative sanction for an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- for construction of the drainage. She has filed a copy of the said proceedings along with the counter affidavit.
Sri P.Raghavender Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.3, submitted that according to his client’s instructions, markings have been given for commencement of the drainage work and within one month, respondent No.3 will ensure that the drainage work is completed.
With the sanction of the amount necessary for construction of the drainage, respondent Nos.1 and 2 have complied with the order of this Court. In view of the assurance given on behalf of respondent No.3 that the construction of drainage will be completed within one month, the contempt case is closed.
As a sequel to disposal of the contempt case, Application No.787 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
