Petitioner had applied for appointment to the post of Constable in the recruitment exercise undertaken in the year 2009. After expiry of nearly 09 years the petitioner has approached this Court for a direction upon the authorities to declare petitioner's result.
Learned Standing Counsel points out that the result of 2009 recruitment was declared in the year 2010 itself, and there would be no justification to entertain this petition after 08 years.
Except to state that petitioner was making representation, there is no explanation as to why petitioner has not raised grievance within a reasonable period. The recruitment exercise got over long back. Subsequent recruitment exercise from time to time have been undertaken by the respondents, and therefore, it would not be appropriate to issue any direction to consider petitioner's grievance after expiry of more than 09 years. There is otherwise no explanation for inordinate delay. Law is otherwise settled that mere making of representation would not extend the limitation once cause of action has arisen.
Writ petition, accordingly, is dismissed.
