IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT HYDERABAD FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA & THE STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH (Special Original Jurisdiction) SATURDAY, THE SIXTH DAY OF DECEMBER TWO THOUSAND AND FOURTEEN PRESENT THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.37374 of 2014 BETWEEN Kodali Nagarjuna Rao.
AND ... PETITIONER The State of Telangana, Rep. by its Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Secretariat, Hyderabad and others.
...RESPONDENTS Counsel for the Petitioner: MR. V. RAJAGOPAL REDDY Counsel for the Respondents: GP FOR REVENUE (TG) GP FOR HOME (TG) The Court made the following:
ORDER:
The relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, on the face of it, shows that it is omnibus relief and it is an attempt on the part of the petitioner to fish out documents and records from the revenue as well as police authorities. The relief sought for also does not specify the exact documents, which are required.
However, petitioner is already before this Court in WP.No17886 of 2013 where this Court has already granted interim order of status quo in favour of the petitioner.
2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a contempt case is also pending. It is, therefore, open for the petitioner to pursue the said writ petition and the contempt case. The relief, as prayed for, in this writ petition is clearly misconceived.
Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
