JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to fix a stipulated time and speedy trial in C.C.No.78 of 2014, on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.2, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram District.
2.By consent of both sides, this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for final disposal.
3.The limited prayer sought for in this petition is for speedy disposal of C.C.No.78 of 2014, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram District. Though, the accused had been charged under Sections 294(b) and 323 of IPC way back in 13.03.2010. Since, the issue is pending from the year 2010 onwards, I am of the view, the petitioner would be entitled to the right of speedy trial and disposal.
4.Hence, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram District to expedite the trial in C.C.No.78 of 2014 and complete the proceedings within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
