Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the State-respondents.
Grievance of the petitioner is that she applied for appointment on compassionate ground on 15.7.2016 after she attained the age of majority, but the respondent no.2 has not taken any decision so far.
It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the father of the petitioner died on 2.1.2016, when the petitioner was minor. Now, on attaining the age of majority she has filed the aforesaid application for compassionate appointment.
Learned counsel for respondent no.2 submits that the application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment shall be considered by the respondent no.2 in accordance with law, and an appropriate order shall be passed within a time bound period.
In view of the aforesaid, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 15.7.2016 and to pass an order strictly in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably, within six weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order along with copy of the representation.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
