Petitioner's father was employed as Tax Inspector in Nagar Nigam, Gorakhpur and died in the year 2014. Petitioner's mother has also died in the year 2019. A claim for payment of family pension has been raised by the petitioner on the ground that petitioner is unmarried and was solely dependent upon her parents for her survival.
Reliance is placed upon the Government Order dated 1.7.2014 to submit that such a claim ought to be considered in terms of the government order itself.
Learned Standing Counsel representing respondent no. 1 and Sri S.K. Singh appearing for respondent nos. 2 and 3 states that such a claim of petitioner would be got examined by the competent authority, in accordance with law.
In that view of the matter this petition stands disposed of with a direction upon respondent no. 2 to accord consideration upon petitioner's claim, as noticed above, by passing a reasoned order, within a period of three months from the date of presentation of copy of this order.
The concerned Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of computerized copy of this order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall act accordingly without waiting for submission of the certified copy of this order.
