Km. Rupam Shukla vs State Of U.P. And 3 Others

High Court Of Judicature at Allahabad|01 February, 2016

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner's father late Chandra Shekhar Shukla was an Assistant Teacher in a Junior High School run by the U.P. Board of Basic Education. He was initially appointed in the year 1991. He unfortunately died on 29th August, 2013. The petitioner claims to be unmarried daughter of late Chandra Shekhar Shukla. She has brought on the record a succession certificate dated 12th December, 2015 issued by the competent authority.
The grievance of the petitioner is that she has made a representation for her appointment on compassionate ground, however, no decision has been taken as yet.
From the record it transpires that the petitioner's representations dated 15th September, 2013 and 02nd January, 2016 are unattended.
It is a well established law that in respect of the compassionate appointment the appointment should be made as soon as possible as the entire family lives in penury.
Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued upon the fourth respondent to take appropriate decision in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within two months from the date of communication of this order.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
No order as to costs.
