Petitioner wants declaration of her result pursuant to advertisement issued by the respondent Board for appointment to the post of Constable in the year 2015.
Learned Standing Counsel points out that the recruitment exercise has already been concluded in the year 2018 and the writ petitions filed by the candidates for filling up resultant vacancies have also been dismissed.
From a perusal of page 34 of the writ petition it is apparent that petitioner was not medically examined in June, 2018. There is no reason as to why the petitioner waited for three years before coming to this Court. The recruitment proceedings have already been concluded. At this late stage this Court is not inclined to direct an enquiry as to why petitioner was not medically examined. Petitioner is herself to blame as she has slept over the matter for years together.
Writ petition, accordingly, is dismissed on the ground of laches.
