Petitioners are dependent of employees/personnel who were working with the Commandant on different posts in 8th Batallion, PAC, Bareilly. After their death petitioners have retained the official accommodation for several years ranging from 10 years to 4 years. The petitioners by the instant petition are seeking a direction to the respondents to not to evict the petitioners and their families from the quarters situated in Old Family Line Quarter of 8th PAC, Nakatiya,Bareilly.
Learned Standing Counsel has opposed the prayer contending that the petitioners do not have any legal right whatsoever to retain the accommodations for so long.
In the circumstances, I do not find any merit in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed.
