Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 and 2; and perused the record.
The present petition has been filed for a direction upon the Board to correct the date of birth of the petitioner in High School Pass Certificate-cum-Marks-sheet of the year 2014 so that in place of 09.07.1996 it be recorded as 10.07.1999.
According to the petitioner, an application for such correction was submitted through the Principal of the Institution but, till date, no decision has been taken on the said application.
Considering the nature of the prayer made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this petition is disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to represent her cause before the first respondent (Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, U.P., Allahabad). If any such representation is filed along with certified copy of this order as well as all the relevant documents, the first respondent shall call for report from the Principal of the Institution concerned and, after verifying the facts from the record, shall take an appropriate decision on the said application, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of filing of such representation.
