Petitioner has approached this Court with the grievance that though she has scored marks above the cut off in the respective category, but her claim for appointment on the post of Constable has not been considered pursuant to notification issued on 29th December, 2015.
Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions, according to which, petitioner has scored 399.107 marks while cut off in her category was 393.57 marks. It is stated that petitioner was required to appear for document verification and physical standard test. This intimation was given online to all candidates on 4.10.2016 and the document verification and physical standard test was conducted on 10.9.2016. It is also stated that petitioner did not appear for the document verification or physical standard test and, therefore, she was not considered. It is pointed out that process of recruitment has otherwise been completed.
This Court refuses to accept the contention of the petitioner that she had no knowledge that she has been called for the next round of processing, inasmuch as, lakhs of persons had applied and a uniform criteria and procedure was followed for processing of their claim. After the process has been concluded and nearly three years have expired, this Court would not be inclined to come to the petitioner's rescue. She has herself to blame for having not participated and not being vigilant in pursuing her candidature.
The writ petition is dismissed.
