Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
This petition has been preferred for a direction being issued commanding the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointment on the post of Police Constable (Female) under the OBC category.
As is evident from a perusal of the material on record, the only caste certificate which is relied upon by the petitioner is dated 8 February 2018. It is also admitted that under the recruitment Notification, the last date for the issuance of caste certificate which could be taken as valid proof for the recruitment Notification was 24 February 2016. There is no assertion in the writ petition that any other caste certificate was either mentioned in the application form or produced before the respondents.
Consequently the writ petition lacks merit and is dismissed.
