Heard learned counsel for the parties.
By means of the instant petition, petitioner seeks the following relief:
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2 to permit the petitioner to correct the word Female in place of Male in the column of on line application form filled up by the petitioner against the Advertisement/notification no. PRPG-ONE-1(112) 2017 (Annexure No. 1).
Learned Standing Counsel, on instructions, submits that despite the petitioner having filled the wrong category (Male) in the form, petitioner was treated throughout under the 'Female' category.
Petitioner has obtained 170.81871 marks as against the cut off marks of the the 'Female' category being 181.5322.
In view thereof, it is urged that petitioner has not qualified the entrance examination to the post of constable (Female).
In view thereof, the writ petition is dismissed.
