------------------- Petitioners have approached this Court seeking for direction to the first respondent to take steps for conducting a joint verification of the land in respect of properties in re-survey Nos. 289/1 and 289/2 in Block No.
42 of Chadayamangalam Village. According to the petitioners, they are in possession of an extent of 49 cents of land in aforesaid survey numbers and they are entitled to get the same assigned as per the provisions of the Kerala Land Assignment (Regularization of Occupations of Forest Lands prior to 01.01.1977) Special Rules, 1993. Exts. P1 to P3 are the representations submitted by the petitioners requesting for joint verification in terms of Rule 2 of the aforesaid Rules. The complaint of the petitioners is that so far as no action has been taken by the respondents with reference to their representations at Exts.P1 to P3.
2. Having regard to the aforesaid factual situation and having heard the learned Government Pleader, I am W.P.C.No. 16288 OF 2014 2 of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of as under:
The first respondent shall consider Exts.P1 to P3 and take appropriate proceedings in accordance with the aforesaid Rules within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
