The petitioners are ten in number. All of them are girls students in a recognized institution, Sri Shiv Charan Inter College, Palli Doongara, District Mathura.
They have preferred this writ petition for a direction upon the respondents for self centre of their examination centre for the Examination 2016 to be held by the Board of High School and Secondary Eduction.
The grievance of the petitioners is that the respondents have allotted the examination centre of the institution in question for High School students in Damodar Inter College, Nagla Khuntia, Mathura and for Intermediate students in Deen Dayal Uchchattar Madhyamik Vidyalaya Bhavan, Pura Road Adigh, Mathura.
Their grievance is that the said institutions are at the distance of 17/22 kilometres from the place of the petitioners' institution. Thus, this will cause gross inconvenience to them to appear in the examination.
This Court on 05.02.2016 has connected this writ petition with Writ-'C' No.3882 of 2016.
Learned Standing Counsel has received the instruction, which is taken on record. On the instruction, she submits that the Board has considered the grievance of the petitioners and accordingly, the examination centre of all the girl students appearing in High School and Intermediate examination, has now been changed and it will be a self centre.
In view of the aforesaid statement, no cause of action survives. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of recording the statement of the Secretary of the Board, who is personally present in the Court.
