JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court challenging Ext.P6 bill. The petitioner submits that exorbitant bill is made in Ext.P6. It is also submits that it is on account of the faulty meter, the bill has been raised. It is further submitted that pending the writ petition new meter has been installed, replacing the old meter which is showing the correct meter reading.
Considering the fact that the petitioner's meter has been replaced, necessarily, Ext.P6 bill shall be revised based on the bill for average consumption after replacement of the meter. Therefore, Ext.P6 is set aside. There shall be a direction to the respondents to revise Ext.P6 bill based on the average consumption pursuant to the replacement of the old meter. Needful shall be done within a period of four weeks from the date W.P.(C) No.10833 of 2011 2 of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The supplemental petitioner shall remit the amount so demanded within a further period of four weeks. The amount already paid shall be adjusted based on the revised bill.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
