JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue Inter Caste Marriage Certificate to the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2017 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.
2.Heard Mr.A.D.Ganeshamoorthi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Muruganantham, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent.
3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself.
4.According to the petitioner, he belongs to Scheduled Caste Community and he married one Kaviarasi, who belongs to Backward Community and the marriage was solemnized on 16.11.2016 at Palani Thiruavinangudi temple which was registered in Joint-I Sub-Registrar Office, Palani, Dindigul District. The marriage certificate was also issued on the same day.
5.The petitioner would state that he had completed Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and his wife is pursuing her studies and there is an opportunity to get employment, for which the petitioner need Inter Caste Marriage Certificate. Hence, he applied before the respondent on 13.02.2017. Since, no action was taken, he sent a reminder on 01.06.2017. Despite the same, no result forthcoming. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court with the present Writ Petition.
6.By considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.06.2017 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, after giving opportunity to the necessary parties, if any, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
