This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court may be pleased to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court, on 06.05.2009, in M.P.No.1 of 2009, in W.P(MD) No.4102 of 2009.
2. By the order, dated 06.05.2009, this Court had passed an order of interim direction, directing the respondent to pay the salary to the petitioner, from 22.01.2008.
3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent had placed before this Court, a communication, dated 16.11.2009, issued by the Senior Divisional Personnel Officer (MDU), stating that a cheque bearing No.467690, dated 16.11.2009, for an amount of Rs.1,91,587/-, had already been sent to the petitioner, in compliance with the interim order passed by this Court, on 06.05.2009. It has also been stated that the petitioner had acknowledged the receipt of the cheque, dated 16.11.2009. An affidavit has also been filed by the respondent stating that the interim direction issued by this Court, on 06.05.2009, had been complied with.
4. In such circumstances, since no further orders are necessary, the contempt petition stands closed.
